Accessibility Statement
Sophia's work is about opening doors, so this website is built to be usable by as many people as possible. Last reviewed 2026.
Our standard
SimplySophia.me is designed and tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. Accessibility is reviewed whenever pages or media are added, not only at launch.
What is in place today
- Full keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link.
- Semantic headings, landmarks, and labeled form fields with clear error messages.
- Descriptive alternative text on every image, including event photography and logos.
- Color contrast that meets AA for body text, headings, buttons, and links.
- Layouts tested on phone, tablet, Chromebook, and desktop widths without horizontal scrolling.
- Video players with standard controls, poster images, and no autoplay audio.
- Automated WCAG testing on every public page, currently reporting no violations.
Known limitations
Captions and transcripts are not yet published for the speaking and devotional videos. Rather than post machine text that could misquote Sophia, accurate transcripts are being prepared and will be added as caption tracks. If you need the content of a specific video before then, write to Sophia@BHCSVC.com and it will be sent to you in text form.
Some material links to third-party platforms such as Amazon, YouTube, and Suno. Those services control their own accessibility.
Requesting an accessible format
Speaker materials, session outlines, handouts, and program information can be provided in large print, plain text, or another format on request. Accommodation requests for live sessions, including interpreters, seating, or materials in advance, are welcome in your booking inquiry.
Tell us about a barrier
